Patty is currently singing with "THE JAZZ GUYS" , based out of Myrtle Beach, SC (previously based out of Charlotte, NC) who feature a wide variety of popular music and genres and give it a jazzy flair.
Originally, Patty was classically trained. But soon her specialty was Classic Standards from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Patty always loved the music that her parents listened to... The Mills Brothers, Dean Martin, Artie Shaw Band, Glenn Miller Band and the like. Later, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Helen Forest were pretty much all she wanted to listen to.
"Nowadays, I truly love just about all types of music, Marc Broussard is one of my favorite musicians/singer song writers, I just really enjoy everything about his music, his voice and vibe. John Mayer is also becoming a favorite."
Over the years, Lake has lent her voice to various musical projects and studio work. Patty has been featured on several diverse recordings; her rich voice can handle a multitude of musical genres, including Jazz, Blues, Motown, Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Contemporary Christian, Celtic, Broadway, Rock and Roll and Art songs. Lake is one of those rare talents that can truly connect with a song and deliver the heart of the lyrics.
Lake has served as the lead singer for the Patty Lake Trio, The Selchies (a Celtic group), G2BA (Grateful to be Alive, a contemporary Christian group) and Wishbone (a wedding and event band), The Jazz Guys (Private Parties, Corporate Events, and Weddings), she also sang several times with Don Eisaman’s Big Band (aka Don Edwards). By the way, Don’s biography is a wonderful descriptive read.
Patty is the lead singer on six albums, “Never Let Me Go Again”- classic standards, “Song of the Seals” - Celtic, two original Christian Contemporary, one Christmas and the soundtrack to the Original Musical: “Paradise” (composed and recorded by the incredibly talented Greg James). Patty also performed in the musical production of “Paradise.”
Also, if a venue would like to host the musical, “Paradise” we could plan another production.
